Job Description

Quality Control Manager - South West - Healthcare - Manufacturing An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Control professional to join an expert healthcare manufacturing company based in Devon in the South West of England. This independent company is part of a world renowned consumer organisation and develops, manufactures and markets various over the counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals to a number of healthcare markets. As Quality Control Manager you will report to the Technical Manager and be responsible for the optimisation of staff, procedures and equipment whilst ensuring compliant release of products and QC testing standards. You will manage the analytical and microbiological testing of pharmaceutical products, raw materials and samples and collate QC data. The role will involve identifying any training requirements for staff and investigating and resolving any laboratory issues. Ideally you will possess a relevant scientific degree, have a significant amount of management experience within a pharmaceutical industry, and have an excellent knowledge of GMP and QC testing standards within HPLC, GC, IR and UV testing. A good understanding of best practice testing methodologies and experience of electronic QC databases would be beneficial and you should be motivated and approachable.
